I spend a lot of my spare time crocheting.  It's not something I've done for long, perhaps 6 months at the most.  I do this with one of my good friends.

We have both found a new love for Instagram since taking up this new pasttime.  There are so many creative people on there who do similar & who are always there to offer support.

After receiving a gorgeous embroidery hoop from one of my 'virtual' Instagram friends, just because I said I liked it, I thought I'd have a little go myself.

Here is the result.  I have actually posted this today to the Instagram friend who sent me that lovely gift a few weeks ago as a thank you.

I'm quite pleased with it & will definitely be having another go with some more of my favourite quotes. 

The fabric was an old dress of mine with the white embroidery already on it.  I wrote the words out in pencil, lightly, and embroidered over the top of it.

Voila!
